Air cargo bills the bigger of actual vs volumetric. Know which one hits.
Airlines charge on whichever is larger — your real weight or the space the box takes up (the IATA volumetric weight). Enter your dimensions and weight and see your true chargeable weight before you book. Runs on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Chargeable weight
IATA volumetric divisors: 6000 cm³/kg (metric) or 166 in³/lb (imperial). Enter one piece, or total weight with the piece count.
How it works: Volumetric weight = (L × W × H × pieces) ÷ divisor (6000 for cm→kg, 166 for in→lb). Chargeable weight is the larger of volumetric and your actual weight. If volumetric wins, your freight is "light and bulky" and you pay for the space. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
